Best CS2 Overpass Decoy Lineups
Water from Fountain
This decoy lineup like few others allows you to throw a decoy to the other part of the map. As a result, it can be quite confusing for enemies to decide where to focus or rotate. Once at the fountain, position yourself beside the second bench. Then, align your crosshair with the correct leaves that are shown in the picture below. It is important to stabilize your aim for ideal results. The last step is to do a simple left-click throw.
Tree from Alley
Another deceptive decoy grenade lineup is from Alley towards Tree on A Long. This can be a great tool to use when your team decides to rush B with an ally toward the connector or Mid to catch rotations. First, walk into the right corner of Alley and stand just besides the stairs that lead to the sealed metal doors. Aim up at the wire pole’s left edge. Follow this with a running jump throw, which gives your grenade enough momentum to land at A Long.
Water from Upper Tunnels
Instead of using the first lineup to target water, this decoy lineup is also a great alternative. After walking out of Upper Tunnels, nestle yourself in the close corner to your left. Place your crosshair at the bolt right above you as can be seen clearly in the image below. This bolt is located on the mount of the light bulb. Then, do a jump throw and either join your team for an A rush or move towards mid for further map control.
Above Monster from T Spawn
One decoy lineup you can teach your friends to use alongside the previous lineup targets Above Monster. With these two decoys, you can simulate a well-rounded B take which will surely divert your opponents’ attention to B site. When exiting T spawn, locate the small ladder and stand in front of it. Next, look ahead and aim at the pointed edge of the building. Then, perform a jump throw. It is also beneficial to time your decoy grenades with any others your teammates might use.
Mid from Alley
Though not as important as some other maps, securing mid-control is still a vital part of winning on Overpass. As a result, this decoy lineup can be very important in deceiving enemies while your allies can hide behind the false gunfire. To execute this lineup, stand in front of the green barrel in Alley. After this, look towards the elevated platforms and aim at the edge of the railing. From here, do a jump throw to effortlessly land your grenade in your desired position.
