The 50-bullet magazine might seem like a great advantage of the P90, but if you struggle with controlling those 50 bullets, you won’t be as effective while using the P90. To help you win more gunfights with it, here’s a complete guide on the spray pattern for the P90.
P90 Spray Pattern Tutorial
The recoil starts with the first 12 to 13 bullets going up in a curved, wavy path. At first, this path curves toward the right and then to the left until it reaches above the center of the target.
After the first 12 to 13 bullets, the spray has almost no vertical kick. It takes a sharp turn to the right for about 4 to 5 bullets, and then it kicks towards the left for 4 to 5 more bullets.
Next, the spray kicks to the right again till it reaches above the center of the target and then stays there for a couple of bullets. Finally, the spray moves to the far left until the mag ends.
P90 Recoil Control Technique
Move your crosshair along the path opposite the spray of the P90, and you will effectively control its recoil. Start by pulling the crosshair down in a wavey, curved path, first toward the right and then to the left. Since the curve isn’t that severe, you can simply pull the crosshair down for this part if that seems easier.
After that, you should not move your crosshair in the vertical direction. Move it straight to the left for 4 to 5 bullets, then to the right, and then to the left, and keep it there for a couple of bullets. Finally, move your crosshair toward the far right until the mag empties.
Conclusion
The P90 has a weird pattern that can be difficult for some people to control since the horizontal movements after an initial kick are quite unpredictable. However, if you spend some time learning its recoil, you’ll eventually get the hang of it.
