Best CS2 Ancient Decoy Lineups
T Lower from T Spawn
In the backside of T Spawn, stand next to the tree and nestle yourself into position. Ahead of you will be a mountain that you can see from the fog, align your crosshair with the peak of this mountain and follow it with a jump-throw. Though it might seem complicated, it is relatively easy once one gets the hang of it.
Tunnels from Split
A highly contested place for both terrorists and counter-terrorists is Tunnels which connect mid and the A-site. Thus, throwing a decoy here can make getting mid or site control very easy for both terrorists or CTs depending on the situation. At Split, walk over to the edge of the large rock pillar as seen in the picture below. Next, aim as shown and perform a jump throw. It is vital to follow the exact lineup as any changes can mess with your grenade’s flight trajectory.
Elbow from Ruins
Next up, we have a decoy lineup which is very desirable for any terrorists looking to secure control from far away. For this, we need to walk to the Ruins and into the corners where the walls intersect. After this, aim just left of the tree in the middle and wait for your aim to stabilize. Now, without moving, do a simple jump throw. With this, you will have successfully thrown a decoy that will keep the CT’s attention locked onto Mid.
Stairs from Ruins
Another decoy lineup from Ruins is towards Stairs on the opposite side of the map. You can use this nade to either divert attention away from Ruins or to cover for a lurker on the A-site. Stand in the same corner as mentioned in the previous decoy lineup. The only minor difference is that you will now aim further left onto the edge of the plant leaf. Following this, do a running jump throw which will give your decoy grenade enough momentum to reach Stairs.
T Lower from Stairs
Just like the first decoy lineup mentioned above, this also targets T Lower. However, it accomplishes this from a point further away, making it much more suitable for late-round situations where a terrorist cannot return to their spawn. Get up onto the left ledge beside the stairs and get into a stable position. Station your crosshair at the edge of the leaf as you can see in the pictures below. After this, do a simple jump-throw to get your grenade where you want it.
