The A Site on the map Ancient can feel complex to a lot of players, especially since the map isn’t as popular. However, if you can learn a few smoke lineups, you can use that complexity to your advantage. To help you do that, here’s a complete guide on CS2 Ancient A smokes.
All Most Important Ancient A Smokes for T-Side
A Donut From Stairs
This first smoke lineup is extremely useful in situations where your team has pushed into the A Site and now needs to secure the plant area and avoid getting shot from the Donut area. To use this lineup, start by standing on the left side of the Stairs, as shown in the image below. After that, place your crosshair on the spot above the door, also shown below. Finally, do a jump-throw.
A Main From CT Spawn
If you want to prevent the Terrorists from making their way to the A Site from the A-Main area, use this smoke lineup. Stand in the backside corner of CT Spawn toward the B Site, align your crosshair with the palm tree leaf as shown below, and do a jump-throw.
A Donut Deep From Jungle
This particular smoke lineup is better suited for the later part of the round when your team has already made their way near the A Site. To use it, stand next to the back-right corner of the brick structure in the Split area, aim slightly above the window at the very top of the large tower in front of you, use the image below as reference, and do a jump-throw.
A Temple From Stairs
Up next, we have a smoke lineup that you’ll find very handy when you’re trying to push the A Site either from the Donut area or the A Main area. This will block any CTs holding the Temple area. To use this lineup, stand in the furthest corner of the Stairs area, crouch down, align your crosshair based on the image below, and do a crouching jump-throw.
A CT From Stairs
Finally, we have an easy smoke lineup you can use to block any CTs holding the CT to A Site area, which is a common spot where they might have an AWPer. To use this lineup, stand at the same corner as the lineup above, crouch down, align your crosshair as shown below, and do a crouching jump-throw.
