While people may argue that taking mid-control in a map like Inferno isn’t necessary for a B Site take, that’s not the case. The team with mid-control has a significantly higher chance of winning regardless of the plant site. To help you get an edge when trying to take mid-control on Inferno, here are some of the most effective CS2 Inferno Mid smoke lineups.
All Most Important Inferno Mid Smokes for T-Side
Top Mid From T Spawn
First, we have the smoke lineup for the Top-Mid area. Using it will help you push in from the Mid area without worrying about AWPers standing right in front. To use this smoke lineup, stand in the corner of the left side of the arch that leads outside the T Spawn area, as shown below, and aim at the tip of the metal window grill in front of you, also shown below. After that, do a jump-throw.
Bottom Mid From CT Spawn
Now, let’s talk about the spot that’s critical to smoke off for the CTs. The Bottom Mid area will almost always have an AWPer from the Terrorists team looking straight at the Top Mid area for flanks. To smoke it off, start by standing next to the broken concrete block wall behind the CT Spawn area. After that, align your crosshair, as shown in the image below. Finally, do a W+ jump-throw.
Top Mid Right From Stairs
To smoke off the Top Mid Right area from the Stairs area, stand in front of the window and make sure you align your in-game character as shown in the image below. After that, aim at the metal railing on the rooftop, also based on the image below. Finally, do a W+ left-click throw.
Top Mid Left From Stairs
Now that you know how to smoke off the right side area in Top Mid, let’s talk about the left side area. Start by standing next to the same window in Mid as from the previous lineup, but align your in-game character in the center this time. Aim at the dark spot on the left-side wall in the Top Mid area and do a jump-throw.
Conclusion
Smoke grenades are super effective, yet the most overlooked parts of the utility that is offered to a player at the start of each round. Fortunately, that puts you at a significant advantage if you start using them. Check out the lineups mentioned above, practice with them, and soon, taking Mid while playing CS2 on Inferno will be a breeze for you. For more Inferno smokes, check this page.
