You can improve your win rate by a lot on Vertigo through map knowledge. However, that can only take you so far since the top-ranked players usually won’t be so clueless about the map. One way to get an edge over high-ranked players is to use calculated smoke lineups. To help you with that, here are our picks for the top CS2 Vertigo B smokes.
All Most Important Vertigo B Smokes for T-Side
B Main From T Spawn
To take care of the player holding B Site in the B Main area, start by standing in the corner in T Spawn where the stairs meet the large blue metal container. After that, place your crosshair in the middle of the far-side metal bar of the skylight directly above you, as shown in the image below, and do a jump-throw.
B Red Boxes From T Spawn
Counter-Terrorists can get a second chance by falling back behind the Red boxes if you use the smoke lineup above. So, it’s also a good idea to smoke the Red Boxes area off. To do that, stand on top of the yellow mark on the ground in T Spawn, as shown in the image below. After that, align your crosshair under the skylight above you, as shown below, and do a jump-throw.

Let’s say that your team has entered the A Site and needs some cover from the Electric Box area. In that situation, this smoke lineup would prove very useful. To use it, walk up the stairs in the T Spawn area, and right when you’re 1/4th of the way up, stand next to the large blue container, wedging your in-game character with the metal railing. After that, aim inside the skylight above and align your crosshair according to the image below. Finally, do a jump-throw.

Lastly, let’s talk about a smoke lineup for the right side of the Electric Box. If you and one of your teammates can combine both these smokes, you will be able to completely deny the Electric Box area for the CTs. To use this lineup, stand at the same spot as the lineup from before, align your crosshair according to the image shown below, and do a jump throw.
