CS2 Spray Patterns

A spray pattern in CS2 refers to the predictable path bullets take when you fire a weapon continuously. Unlike single shots, where bullets hit exactly where your crosshair is aimed, firing on full auto causes bullets to move away from your aim point in a set sequence. Each weapon has its own unique spray pattern, which determines how the bullets spread when you hold down the trigger.

In most FPS games, bullets usually travel straight out of the barrel in the direction you’re aiming. In CS2, the first few bullets may follow your aim, but the rest will begin to rise higher and eventually scatter left and right. This creates a specific spray pattern on walls or surfaces if you fire continuously.

For example, if you shoot at a wall while holding down the trigger, you’ll notice that the bullet marks form a distinct pattern. This pattern stays consistent for each weapon, with only minor random deviations. That’s why CS2 players focus on learning spray patterns—they can predict where their bullets will go and adjust their aim to counter it.

To control your spray effectively, you’ll need to move your crosshair in the opposite direction of the spray pattern.
