Is There an Overwatch System in CS2?
The short answer is no—CS2 currently does not have the Overwatch feature. There are no reports of players receiving Overwatch access, and Valve has not made any official announcements on the topic.
The only sign of Overwatch being considered for CS2 is a patch note stating, “Added Overwatch system to enable match demo review by trusted partners.” Although this note was released months ago, the feature is still missing in the game.
Multiple leaks have surfaced since then, showing code references and potential UI designs for Overwatch, which hints that Valve might be planning to add it in the future.
While there’s no confirmed way to access Overwatch in CS2, we can look at CSGO’s previous requirements as a reference. In CSGO, players needed at least 300 hours played, 150 wins, and a rank no lower than Gold Nova I. If Overwatch is reintroduced, expect similar or stricter requirements for CS2.
