Outside is the largest and most open area on Nuke, and it’s also one of the most important. Ts use it to access Secret, split Ramp, or pressure A site from unexpected angles. If you lose Outside early, your rotations fall apart. In this short lesson, we’ll show how to hold Outside on Nuke properly and control the round before Ts get comfortable.

Holding Outside on Nuke as CT

Holding Outside isn’t about raw aim — it’s about timing, positioning, and information. Whether you’re playing from Garage, Secret, or Main, you need to understand where Ts are likely to peek from and when. A single missed smoke can give away map control, while a delayed cross can open up flanks.

The best teams use layered setups. One player watching Red, another holding Garage or Heaven, and someone ready to rotate based on utility cues. Good comms and spacing are everything. If you’re peeking solo or trying to push into Yard without support, you’ll get picked apart fast.

Outside gives Ts options, but it also gives CTs early info. By holding it properly, you force Ts to waste utility, second-guess their map plan, or walk into crossfires. Don’t give it up for free — make every step they take feel earned.
